Red Rocks Amphitheatre 2024 Schedule & Concerts Tickets
Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a rock structure near Morrison, Colorado, 10 miles (16 km) west of Denver, where concerts are given in the open-air amphitheatre. There is a large, tilted, disc-shaped rock behind the stage, a huge vertical rock angled outwards from stage right, several large outcrops angled outwards from stage left and a seating area for up to 9,525 people in between. At its height, the amphitheatre sits at 6,450 feet, and the surrounding Red Rocks Park covers 868 acres. The amphitheater is owned and operated by the City and County of Denver, Colorado and is located in Red Rocks Park, part of the Denver Mountain Parks system.
2021 is looking like a landmark year for the iconic amphitheatre in what should be the busiest year in the venue's history; over 160 events took place at Red Rocks in 2017 and this year's number is likely to top that.
Ride-sharing services have also made the 9,500-seat space easier to get to, despite the oft-nightmarish lines of cars that snake through the hilly grounds. And diverse genres, from hip-hop and avant-pop to Christian music and orchestral collaborations, have diversified the appeal of its calendar over the usual jam bands, EDM and classic rock. Formerly relegated to June through September, Red Rocks’ “summer” concert season now spans most of the year. And while the shows have already begun, the majority are yet to come.
